After moving to South Carolina and leaving a church family where we had worshipped and served for 45 plus years, we were searching for over a year, but when we visited Central Church, we knew we had found the church that we would now call, "home." God has blessed us with opportunities to serve in various areas, some in the same way we had enjoyed doing in our previous church. We love being involved in the ministries of the church, and there are many ways to "connect," whether it be preparing a meal, helping with "work day" projects, women's ministries, etc. It is a wonderful way to make lasting friendships and form a bond that makes it "family." This is my family's 15th year at Central Church. Two (2) months after we started attending we had a huge loss in our family, and 5 weeks after we had another huge loss. The next several years were heavy with grief and emotional pain. And there has been loss of other family members and my husband; illness and disease. Thru it all, this local body of Christ has been loving and supportive. Most importantly, praying us through.

I have always been a person that likes to help others just haven’t always had the means or knowledge. My first visit to Central Church was life changing. I immediately felt comfortable, welcomed and at home. My husband and I have been able to use our God given abilities in cooking, decorating and planning events that bring in believers as well as non-believers. Our church doors are always open and willing to help others. It’s a place of peace and comfort and worshiping our Heavenly Father.
